A reliable Ryde

  • Our Runabout Range is a range of vehicles that are not brand new but are surely reliable. While they may have a cosmetic blemishes, all cars have been well maintained and cared for with regular servicing and maintenance. They will take you from A to B or on your next adventure no trouble! How old will the car be? Our cars range from 2007 - 2013 in this category. On average they will be between 2010-2012. All cars are clean and reliable. These vehicles will have travelled 100,000kms or over with an average of 220,000kms.

  • Our Runabout Range boasts reliable vehicles from 2007 through to 2013. The rest of our fleet run through from 2015 through to 2020. We do not currently hold any later model vehicles in our fleet. Many of the cars in both runabout and our standard range will feature extras such as Reverse Camera, Apple Car Play and Bluetooth capability. We also provide phone chargers and phone holders at no additional cost.

  • Generally we rent to 25-74 years old. However if you are younger or older than this and would like to rent please contact us directly. We just need a few extra details to get you approved for rental. A surcharge of $10 per day is also applicable for these drivers that need the additional approval.

  • Easy done - Just add to your booking or request this option if we are booking on your behalf. At only $3/day its an easy choice. You will be covered for flat tyre, flat battery, empty tank and getting locked out. We partner with NRMA for absolute peace of mind.

  • We charge an Administration fee per booking and surcharges apply during peak times. Prices will change depending on the season. We do not charge registration daily as an additional cost. There is also a 1.5% transaction fee for all card payments. Any card that is from overseas or AMEX cards will have the same fees we are charged passed on to the customer.

    Tolls incur a $1.50 charge per day toll roads are used on top of the toll charges incurred. Eg. Use 3 toll roads in 1 day - 1 x $1.50 toll fee will be incurred. No toll use, no fee. No need to go to the trouble of setting up a toll account. This is all taken care of.

  • Yes, for a small fee of $9 per person, per day.

  • Rest assured, all our vehicles come with insurance coverage, which includes a standard excess fee. However, you have the option to reduce this excess amount for added peace of mind for rentals of 7 days or more. Terms, conditions and exclusions do apply so please ask us for a copy of our terms and conditions or you can view these on our website.

  • Renting from us guarantees a seamless experience with a diverse fleet, transparent pricing, and prioritized safety and maintenance. Our Runabout range is reliable and a cost effective rental car option. We are located in a super handy location 30 seconds walk from West Ryde Train Station and are open 7 days. If convenience is important, get in touch with us!

  • Yes, our vehicles must be returned in the same condition as they were prior to leaving the dealership, this includes a full tank of petrol. If the tank is not full a fee will apply on top of the cost of the petrol.

  • You can obtain a copy of our terms and conditions by emailing us and requesting a copy. These are also available on display in our office, and you will be given a copy upon renting with us.

  • You bet! Please ask our friendly front desk staff for more information. Long term rentals include 100km/day usage. We also have a current promotion with a discount available for your first rental with us!

  • You may cancel your reservation at any time by contacting our office during business hours. Please note that any reservations cancelled prior to 24 hours of the scheduled pick up time, will incur a fee of $59 incl. GST. Reservations cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled pick up time, will not receive any refund.

  • Remain calm and prioritise your safety. If required, contact relevant emergency services (000) immediately. Ensure that you take down details of involved parties and witnesses, and take photos - full details are included in our terms and conditions. Once you have completed these steps, contact Ryde Rentals Office for steps moving forward.

  • We hope you don't, but it does happen! Just make sure to let us know about it when you drop the car back and we will reduce the administration charge down to $15. The standard charge is $25. We will then allocate the fine or ticket to the driver when we receive notification.

  • No - you don’t need to return the car to extend. We can easily do this over the phone and will send you a payment link and updated contract via email. All extensions are subject to availability and we will always try to accommodate extension requests.

  • Easy! We are located 30 seconds walk from West Ryde Train Station. There are also buses along Victoria Rd stopping frequently every day of the week. Parking is also available in Maxim St.

  • We are a train ride away from the airport. Standard cost is between $18-21 for this trip, one way. Simply jump on at the airport, changeover at Central and then hop on a train to West Ryde Station. Many customers rent with us up until they leave for the airport, unpack their bags and jump on the train again. Always allow extra travel time for your trip to the airport. We are anywhere from 24 to 60 minutes away pending traffic and route taken when driving.

  • International Driver licences must be valid for use in Australia, must have a translation document accompanying if required. Originals must be shown, including the driver’s original passport and proof of address such as lease agreement or bank statement. Any payments which incur fees will be passed on to the customer. Typically these are 3.5% but can be higher. Refundable deposit for International licence holders is increased to $1000.
